About The Rifling Machine.
Typically, rifling grooves are carved using a specially designed rifling machine. This machine may be set up as either pull type or push type for the cutting actions. Different cutting methods employed for rifling include Crown Cutters, Button Rifling, Barrel Swages, and hook cutters. Crown cutters are particularly favored for larger diameters to ensure effective groove carving.
